The Alpena Wildlife Sanctuary boasts opportunities for strolling, paddling, fishing, hiking, trail-walking, bird-watching, picnicking, dog-walking, nature study, and photography.  While on the island, we ask that you (and your four legged friends) stay on the trails to help preserve our fragile ecosystem. Picnic tables, BBQs, shady rest areas, and canoe and kayak rentals are located in Duck Park.
